A COLLECTIVE INITIATIVE IN FAVOR OF THE ANjou VITICULTURAL HERITAGE

The Paulée d'Anjou is a collective adventure initiated in 2012 by the winemakers of Anjou Noir who wanted to promote their shale terroirs and has gradually expanded to all the great terroirs from Angers. The 2019 edition marked an important step in this dynamic by bringing together for the first time the shales of Anjou Noir and the limestone of Anjou Blanc. This solidarity was reinforced in 2021 with the welcome of winemakers from Bourgueil and St-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil! To formalize their commitment, the collective winemakers have established a charter that defines their values, missions, and ethics. The participating winemakers thus commit to promoting :

  • All the riches of Anjou: its landscapes and biodiversity, its wines from unique and inimitable terroirs, its millennial history, its heritage of "beautiful stones," its gastronomy, its culture and its artists, etc.
  • A responsible and sustainable viticulture method, of which the region was one of the pioneers, presenting only certified vintages or those in the process of being certified organic or biodynamic.
  • Humanistic values, so often embodied by Loire Valley winemakers: open-mindedness and temperance, inter-generational solidarity promoting the installation of young talents, etc.

An event of international dimension, the Paulée d'Anjou attracts each year more and more winemakers willing to join thisambitious collective dynamic. For the 2022 edition, more than 90 estates, from the "great figures" to the "young guard" freshly installed, invite you to join them for this moment of conviviality, culture and sharing.
